In 2013, the box office hit an all-time high for total gross in a year thanks to blockbusters like Iron Man 3, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Man of Steel, Monsters University, and Despicable Me 2. It was such a great year that 28 different films reached the $100 million mark. Even The Smurfs 2 brought home over $70 million bucks. It is safe to say that it was a great year for film and it should set up an even better 2014.
