2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

If you pay attention to car news at all, you likely have noticed that the internet is a buzz about the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. Why you ask? The 6.2L Hellcat Hemi will provide 2015 Dodge Challenger owners with 707 horsepower and 650lb-ft of torque. Those are very big numbers, so big that they qualify the Hellcat as America’s most powerful production car. Let’s check it out with a proper soundtrack :

The Hellcat is so ridiculously powerful, that it comes with two key fobs. Use the black key, and your vehicle will be limited to 500 horsepower, likely so you don’t kill yourself. Grab the red key, and somehow they pack 207 more horses under that hood, so we highly recommend wearing a seat belt.

They’re even going to offer it in an eight-speed automatic, which means we’ll actually be able to drive it. Oh, we didn’t mention? Yeah, we’re heading to Portland International Raceway later this month where we’ll attempt to tame the Hellcat on the drag strip. Don’t hate, it’s technically our job, so we’ll be working. We’ve just made different choices in life than you have.
