Arian Foster – Houston Texans Running Back

Arian Foster came into the league as an undrafted free agent picked up by the Houston Texans. In 2010 he burst onto the field and had a monster day against the Colts. Texans fans and all the fantasy football owners who drafted him last year were thanking their lucky stars. He was selected to his first Pro-Bowl last year and was named an All-Pro. Hopefully the NFL will resume this year so we can see Arian and the rest of the league play.

While Foster is waiting to play he took time out to speak with us on the Gunaxin Sports Show. We chat about the NFL, fantasy football, and his work with Subway. He is working with Jared and the Subway crew to promote the new Subway BBQ Pulled Pork sub, (which is available for a limited time only).  The sandwich sales from the All-Star BBQ event he was at this month will benefit the West Alabama Food Bank (WAFB), a non-profit organization devoted to feeding victims of the recent flood disaster as well as relief workers rebuilding the area that is one of the original homes of BBQ cuisine.

The event marks the launch of the Subway “Pullin’ for a Cause” initiative, a national ‘text to donate” campaign benefiting the WAFB whereby consumers who text “FOOD” to 27722 to donate $10. Each donation made through the end of July triggers a matching donation from SUBWAY. He even had a chance to show his skills on a mechanical bull during the All-Star event.
