Amazon Kindle on the iPad

Well here’s a strange one. Amazon, who of course have their own eBook reader the Kindle, have got an app in the works that will let you use your iPad (or other tablet computer) to read eBooks that are in the Kindle format. Right. Makes sense – no need to own an iPad and a Kindle after all. The question now is whether Apple will allow it as the kingdom of Steve already has the cunningly named iBooks which basically does the same thing, minus Kindle compatibility.
