Cars of the Pirelli World Challenge
This past weekend we were invited by our friends at Kia Racing to the Pirelli World Challenge Race at Road America in Wisconsin. The Pirelli World Challenge is a North American auto racing series established in 1990 and sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). While we’ll have a full feature on our experience with Kia Racing coming soon, we were immediately struck by the variety of sexy race cars competing in the Pirelli World Challenge.
The series consists of six classes of vehicles: Grand Touring (GT), GT Cup, GTS, Touring Car (TC), “Touring Car B-spec” (TCB), and “Touring Car A” (TCA). We were track-side for the GT, GT Cup, and GTS races to capture tons of blurry images of these amazing vehicles screaming past us, and have selected some of our favorites to share with you below. In the gallery you’ll see beautifully wrapped race cars from Bentley, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, AMG, Cadillac, Acura, Kia, Nissan, Ford, Chevy, and Dodge.
