Columbus Day Humor

Columbus-Day-ProtestColumbus Day is probably the most flawed holiday that we “celebrate” in the United States, and it’s being removed from calendars by many local and state governments across the country. In many places it has been renamed, “Indigenous Peoples’ Day.” As long as politicians and the media are giving the Redskins so much scrutiny, maybe it’s time to reconsider Columbus Day too. The long standing American tradition of Columbus Day only became a Federal Holiday in 1934 when FDR was looking to secure the Italian vote. Last Week Tonight tackled the subject perfectly :
