Commemorative Steelers Booze

bettisbox 199x300Our friends over at Pittsburgh Sports and Mini Ponies seem to have cornered the market on news of commemorative booze bottles produced for Pittsburgh Steelers. Following the Super Bowl, they brought us the story of Hines Ward giving out special bottles of Crown Royal (which landed them on Rome is burning btw) and now they have the story of Jerome Bettis and his special bottle of Jose Cuervo.

Recently, Jerome Bettis celebrated his 37th birthday at Club Pure at Cesar’s Palace. As a gift, he received a personalized bottle of Jose Cuervo Platino Tequila with pictures of his playing days on the box. And I must say, that is a mighty fine box of tequila. I’m sure a bunch of Pittsburghers would pay any price (even in this recession) to get some liquor with local hero Bettis emblazoned on the packaging.

The line of the day comes from a PSAMP commenter who asks, “When do you think they’re going to come out with the commemorative Bam Morris crack pipe?? “
