Del Taco’s New Mexican Chorizo Breakfast

Del Taco Chorizo Breakfast 560x280

Chorizo is easily our favorite of the Milwaukee Brewers’ Racing Sausages, and it’s pretty damn tasty too. The slightly spicy pork sausage is popular in Mexico, so it makes perfect sense that Del Taco would use it in their breakfast offerings. Del Taco has been serving breakfast for 30 years, so we find it a bit odd that it took them this long to make this break through, but we’re definitely thrilled with the results. Our friends at FoodBeast recently visited the Del Taco HQ and snapped these drool worthy photos. We can’t wait to get a taste of this amazing Epic Chorizo Scrambler Burrito pictured below.

Nom, Nom, Nom

The ingredient list on this burrito includes everything we’d want in a breakfast burrito : grilled chorizo sausage, scrambled eggs, freshly grated cheddar cheese, crispy hash browns, handmade pico de gallo, and red sauce served in a warm, oversized flour tortilla. The combination is such a no-brainer, we honestly don’t know what that other Taco chain is thinking with their disappointing offerings.

This is just one of 3 new items featuring chorizo on the Del Taco Breakfast Menu offered from 11pm to 11am, but as Foodbeast discovered, they’ll also let you add chorizo to any item they sell. Check out their video documenting Elie’s chorizoriffic experience at the Del Taco HQ and drive-thru.
