DVD Pick of the Week 12/9/08

I don’t think I should keep you waiting this week, so I’m just going to jump in and say that this weeks DVD Pick of the week is The Dark Knight. How could I not pick this movie as the DVD Pick of the Week, it’s Heath Ledger’s last and best movie, and you’ve got the Joker and Two Face. You might not think Heath Ledger could be a better Joker than Jack Nicholson, well he pulled it off. Iron Man started off the Summer with a bang it was the best comic book movie in quite some time, and Batman Begins topped it. It was action packed from beginning to end, if you haven’t seen it I strongly suggest you check it out!

Up next is Lost – The Complete Fourth Season. Lost started out with a bang, the first season had mysteries, suspense, action and a fantastic plot. It asked many questions and answered a few, as the second and third season wore on, though, more and more questions were asked and less and less answers were given. Many people have speculated that the creators didn’t know how the series was going to end, I’d have to disagree with this assessment and say that I think the creators knew how the series would end, but they just weren’t sure how to get there. Well, that all changed in the fourth season, questions are being answered, the plot is moving forward again, and you can see that the next few seasons are going to be a hell of a ride.

There weren’t too many DVDs coming out this week and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to find a third DVD to feature until I came across the seventh page of Amazon’s release list and found Playboy: Naked Happy Girls, Vol. 3: California Girls. This is actually a Playboy made documentary about a photographer, Andrew Einhorn, writing a book of nude pictures of happy girls, because he says that most nude women have forced smiles or awkward looks on their faces and naked happy girls look much better. There’s a safe for work trailer below or if you’re over 18 and not at work check out the site nakedhappygirls.com.
