Fast & Furious Remade with Toys

Fast & Furious 6 is set to hit theaters later this month. Let that sink in for a second. Six, they’ve made six of these films, and the seventh one is on the way next year. The folks behind Pirates of the Caribbean look restrained compared to this franchise. They’re starting to approach Police Academy territory here, and even Leprechaun thinks this is a bit too much.
Like most overdone movie franchises, they will never recapture the magic of the first, which is why the original Fast and the Furious still remains the only one worth watching. The good folks at Homemade Movies must agree with us on that one, as they selected the original to remake. That’s right, a shot-for-shot remake of the final race scene, created with toy cars. It’s as fabulous as it sounds. This is what happens when adults play with Matchbox cars, toy trains, and a miniature set that makes even Mr. Rogers jealous.
We can’t even imagine the time that goes into a project like that. Homemade Movies serves up creative remakes of your favorite trailers and movie scenes each week. We imagine it takes them most of the week to pull one of these together, which means someone has this as their fulltime job… playing with toys and making vroom vroom sounds. We’re not hating, in fact we’re insanely jealous. All of their videos are exact shot-for-shot remakes created at home without any visual effects. You can see many more on Cinefix’s Youtube Page.
