Over the next few days you will probably hear a handful of “Happy New Year” greetings. It’s an irksome tradition for sure, but in the grand scheme of things, harmless. As long as the sentiment isn’t abused. Wishing someone good cheer in the new year should be reserved for the first two weeks of January. Any time after that is just asinine.
