Skateboards may soon become a thing of the past, and technology from Back to the Future 2 may finally become a reality, just in time. Move over, Kelvin Hoefler, Hendo is about to take center stage. Meet the Hendo Hoverboard, the world’s first hoverboard. A brainchild of husband-and-wife team Greg and Jill Henderson, this contraption could possibly change the way people travel in the future. Its engines generate a magnetic field that pushes the board upwards, thereby allowing it to hover at least one inch off the ground. There’s just one problem with this, it can only work above conductive surfaces. The Silk Road will just have to be converted to copper then. With 48 days left to go on Kickstarter, this campaign has already exceeded its goal. Hoverboards are finally happening!
