Iron Horse Hotel – Milwaukee

The Iron Horse Hotel is the transformation of a 100-year-old mattress warehouse into a one-of-a-kind hotel that delivers a uniquely authentic Milwaukee experience. We recently had an opportunity to spend three fabulous nights at the Iron Horse, during our Kia Turbocharged Weekend with MenWhoBlog. The boutique hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from the Harley-Davidson Museum, and obviously caters to motorcycle enthusiast guests.

The Iron Horse features 100 chic industrial loft-style guest rooms with large windows and exposed brick walls. They also feature modern amenities like flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, wet bars, walk-in showers and lounge areas. The upscale lofts and studios add dining areas and skyline views. We absolutely loved our room, and although it has a definite manly vibe, we think women could be comfortable as well. Honestly, we’d move in if we could afford it.

We were particularly fond of the outdoor patio bar named “The Yard”, which has plenty of seating areas to hang out with friends and enjoy a cold beverage. The Iron Horse hosts several motorcycle themed nights throughout the year, and we imagine this outdoor bar buzzes with activity as bikers take over the area.

Additional amenities include several dining options, 24-hour fitness center, on-site spa, business center, and a gift shop. While motorcycle culture is prevalent throughout the decor, the Iron Horse Hotel is certainly suitable for business travelers as well, and it was the perfect location to host our Kia Turbocharged Weekend. We highly recommend it for your next trip to Milwaukee, you won’t be disappointed.
