Jake Gyllenhaal Channels Patrick Bateman For Insane French Music Video
I kinda like it when A-list movie stars appear in music videos. Although I don’t have any check stubs in front of me, I doubt they get paid a lot to “slum” for some director’s interpretation of some band’s song, which probably means they’re doing it as a favor or they are genuine fans of the music, or at the very least, the concept for the video.
Christopher Walken dancing on the ceiling in Fatboy Slim’s “Weapon of Choice.” Bruce Willis shooting a .357 Magnum in “Stylo” by Gorillaz. Jake Gyllenhaal playing tennis in Vampire Weekend’s “Giving Up the Gun.” Or Jake Gyllenhaal channeling his inner Patrick Bateman in “Time to Dance,” an elctro-pop acid trip from a French band called The Shoes. If you’re into crazy beats and crazy-eyed killers (and who isn’t), then this should make your day.
