March Madness Reading

I’m told they make these things called books, which apparently contain lots of words and very few, if any, pictures. They sound boring as shit, but I’m willing to throw caution to the wind and try new stuff, so maybe I’ll give one a go.

Since I like college hoops, something on that subject might be just what the doctor ordered. The pious folks over at The Christian Science Monitor just posted a list of their ten best books about college basketball. It’s a pretty solid group covering everyone from Bob Knight to John Wooden.

My personal favorite would be Glory Road, written by legendary Texas Western College coach Don Haskins. I highly recommend you give it a read, but if you don’t have time in this fast-paced world we live in, at least see the movie. Here’s the trailer:
