Mauna Loa: The Crack of Macadamia Nuts

I’ve never been more addicted to a food or snack product since tasting Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts. Now, thanks to Amazon.com, you can get them for virtually the same price as walking into a convenience story in Hawaii. How? First, they come in packages of 6. Next, if you subscribe to them, available between one and six months, you not only get a discount, but free shipping, as well. That brings the price down from $25.52 to $21.69, divided by 6, which is $3.62 each. There are stores in Hawaii that sell these for $4 an upward, a complete rip-off considering they’re made there.

Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts, Coffee Glazed, 5.5-Ounce Canisters

I don’t have many vices or bad habits, but when I first tasted the Kona Coffee Glazed Macadamia Nut I was not only hooked but I found myself thinking about them when my stash ran out. This is something that makes me salivate, and once I start eating them I don’t want to stop. These should be on every shelf in every grocery store.

Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts, Maui Onion Garlic, 4.5-Ounce Cans

Like chips of the same flavor, these give you that really, really good breath.

Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts, Honey Roasted, 4.5-Ounce Cans

Here’s one kind that I love but not enough to purchase individually. Instead, these are best bought in the gift packs.

Mauna Loa Butter Candy Glazed Macadamias, 5.5-Ounce Canisters

Like the Kona coffee, the butter candy glaze makes you drool just thinking about them.

Mauna Loa Milk Chocolate Toffee Macadamias, 6-Ounce Bags

Milk chocolate toffee lovers, unite!

Mauna Loa Salted Teriyaki Wasabi Nuts, 4.5-Ounce Tins (Pack of 4)

These aren’t for everyone – in fact, some people spit it out the moment it hits their taste buds – but those who like it hot ought to try the wasabi and teriyaki nuts.

Mauna Loa Dry Roasted Macadamias With Sea Salt, 4.5-Ounce Cans

This is the macadamia nut equivalent to plain, and I don’t recommend buying these because they lack any flavor other than ‘nut’ (you know what I mean). However, like all of them, once you start eating you won’t want to stop. The unsalted ones are also available, and unlike the others, a 24 oz. Kirkland version is available at many Costcos.

Mauna Loa Dark Chocolate Macadamias, 6-Ounce Bags

Mauna Loa Milk Chocolate Macadamias, 6-Ounce Bags

Gotta have chocolate, right? The reason I’m not into these is because they’re too heavy on the chocolate and too light on the macadamia. Sounds dumb, right? Well, true, but you can get chocolates for a better price to enjoy than chocolate macadamia nuts. Even chocolate-covered peanuts are more economical. Regardless, that doesn’t make these bad, just not the best deal.
