Omaha Beach Landing from Saving Private Ryan

cemetary 560x228Today marks the 65th Anniversary of D-Day, and President Obama is present at a ceremony and speech of remembrance at Omaha Beach. During the introduction, the British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, mistakenly referred to Obama Beach, which I am sure is going to attract a bit of a buzz. That video is below:

In order to deflect attention away from that incident however, we would like to focus on the men and women who valiantly served and persevered to capture that beach. I know of no other movie that has captured that battle more dramatically and accurately than Saving Private Ryan. Please remember that war is not pretty when you watch this classic scene.
