It’s the culmination of every March Madness, the highlight package known as One Shining Moment produced by CBS Sports, and performed by Luther Vandross :

“One Shining Moment” is a song written by David Barrett about the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Championship. It is traditionally played at the end of CBS Sports’ coverage of the championship game of the tournament. The song is played as the winning team’s players cut down the nets, to a montage of highlights from the tournament.

This 2012 version of One Shining Moment is fantastic as usual, but since it airs around midnight eastern time, we figured we would share it here:

Congratulations to the Kentucky Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks for a great season, and both can be proud of their Cheerleaders as well :
