Sceptre Colored LCD TV Review

Sceptre’s new line of LCD televisions come at a fair price with a little splash of color. The full 1080p high def TVs come in red, pink, blue, black and, wait for it…chrome. Yes, you can now have a blinged out chrome flatscreen. The 24 incher I tested sported a 4,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 2 ms response time, 2 HDMI inputs, 1 USB input, 1 VGA input, 1 component input and 1 composite input. It’s also Energy Star 3.0 compliant for you hippie-types. Where the X240LC-FHD could be better is in the audio department and its 60hz refresh rate, which really hurts the picture when a lot of fast motion is going on, especially when watching cable or network broadcasts. Not a bad buy though for a secondary TV, a kids room or trading up to a nice big monitor for your computer. It has also come way down from it’s original MSRP of $399 and is available for for $279.99 at press time on Amazon.
