Smithsonian’s National Zoo

National-Zoo-18The Smithsonian National Zoological Park is one of the few major animal parks that does not charge an entry fee. Like all Smithsonian institutions, the National Zoo is free to the public, and that is obviously its biggest perk. It also happens to be a pretty damn good Zoo, despite some controversies about dying animals in recent years. The National Zoo has been in the news this week, due to the birth of a pair of baby Pandas. The Zoo is famous for its Pandas, and whenever a new-born arrives, the Zoo enjoys records crowds. We had the occasion to spend the day there a few years ago, and thought you might enjoy some of our photos.
