2018 Stadium Series : Outdoor Hockey Fun at the Naval Academy

The latest installment of the NHL’s Stadium Series was held this weekend at the United States Naval Academy. The Washington Capitals continue to be undefeated outdoors, as they bested the upstart Toronto Maple Leafs. The Stadium Series is much more than a regular season hockey game however, like the Winter Classic, it’s a major event. This is the 3rd outdoor game we’ve attended, but unlike the Winter Classic held in Washington in 2015, the Naval Academy parking lot provided ample opportunities for tailgating. Capitals fans took full advantage, arriving early, and partying late into the evening.

The tailgate and the NHL’s Pre-Game Party were just the start of our day however, as we had the opportunity to interview the gold medal winning USA Curling and Women’s Hockey teams. While the game was obviously the best part of the experience, we recorded most everything else we saw in Annapolis and put together our own highlight video to share with you below. It gives you an idea of what else was going on that you may not have seen on television.
