Star Wars Movie Memorabilia : Weapons
With the latest installment (Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens) of the Star Wars saga set to hit theaters later this week, we wanted to take this opportunity to look back at the previous six films, and highlight some of the most amazing (and expensive) movie memorabilia ever purchased at auction.
The memorabilia will be organized in a 4-part series :

This first part of our series on the most important and valuable Star Wars items features some of the most iconic and sought after, the weapons. Most Star Wars fans want to own a piece of the movie that will give them more than just a memory. So they go out and bid on toys, helmets, costumes, and props within their price range. But what they truly want, what they all want, is the screen used weapons. This list is full of blasters, lightsabers, and rifles that were all used during filming of the original six Star Wars movies.
Rebel Soldier Blaster – $3,690
Movie: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

Details: This blaster was used by the Rebel Soldiers during the Hoth battle scenes as they fought the Empire’s Snow Troopers. This blaster rifle is missing its’ rear stock-sight and barrel extension. Many of the blasters used during the filming were recycled for parts to enhance, customize, or replace other blaster rifles for the many other battle sequences throughout the movie.
Royal Naboo Guard Blaster – $3,737
Movie: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999)

Details: This rare CR-2 blaster was used by Queen Amidala’s Royal Naboo guards during the finale as they fought to retake the capital from droid occupation. The CR-2 blaster was modeled after a Calico M961A sub-machine gun.

Details: The S-5 Heavy Blaster pistols were used by Captain Panaka and Queen Amidala’s security personnel during the final battle to reclaim Naboo’s Theed Palace from the Trade Federation.
Scout Trooper Blaster (1983) – $8,000
Movie: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983)

Details: This is a screen-used scout trooper blaster with holster from Episode VI. As you can see, the value is in the wear and tear from being used during the filming of the battle scenes in the movie.
Princess Leia Stunt Blaster – $12,000
Movie: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983)

Details: The blaster was the one used by Princess Leia during the storm trooper fighting scenes on the forest moon of Endor.
Obi-Wan Fighting Lightsaber – $17,700

Details: No one has been able to create a real lightsaber but many have tried and continue to try today. In the meantime, someone purchased this screen-used Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber from Episode II.
Han Solo Blaster Mauser – $20,000

Details: This is not the gun Han Solo used during the film but it was that gun’s backup. There were only two ever made and this one was locked away securely in a vault in case the one used on set broke.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Lightsaber – $20,060

Details: Obi-Wan Kenobi used this exact lightsaber throughout the filming of Episode II and can easily be remembered for the battle with Count Dooku.
Mace Windu Lightsaber – $20,060

Details: Another lightsaber that was used during the filming of Star Wars Episode II. This one was used by Mace Windu, played by Samuel L. Jackson.
Luke Skywalker Lightsaber – $30,000

Details: Luke Skywalker used this lightsaber for practice and also for much of the fight sequences throughout the film.

Details: Almost as cool as the next item, the Han Solo blaster used during the Star Wars movie was won for $200,000. It does not work and is a non-firing model of the DL-44 blaster but it is still awesome

Details: Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber from the original Star Wars is on the wish list of just about every single Star Wars fan in the World.
