The CW Network Wants Us To “Catch VD”

I’m not sure if the marketing execs over at The CW did it on purpose, but the latest online promotion for The Vampire Diaries is quite the double entendre. Take a gander.

It could be an honest slip up, or perhaps they are hoping to capitalize on the whole blood/fluid transfer that occurs between those of the vampire persuasion. Whatever the case, it’s precisely the kind of meme us blogger types giggle at like school boys pawing a stack of nudie magazines. And is it just me or does this slogan seem more appropriate for Gossip Girl?
