Top 25 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers for 2017
There are very few positions in Fantasy Football that are “deep” with talent like the Wide Receiver position. For the last few seasons, the WR position has become a truly important one, flooded with talent. The depth of talent at skilled positions like WR has provided fantasy owners with some flexibility heading into this season’s drafts.
Even with depth at the WR position, there are still some amazing players that are simply the best. Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr., and Julio Jones are the three best Wide Receivers in the game and have been since 2014 when ODB entered the league as a fresh-faced rookie from LSU. So if you have a shot at one of these three players, there is no reason to pass them up, regardless of which round you are in.
But if you can’t draft them, then you have to figure out who else to grab and that is where the rankings become important. The Wide Receivers ranked between 4th and 12th could end up being the most important parts of your lineup each weekend. For example, in a standard 12-team league, with a snake draft, even the person picking in the 12th slot gets to draft two top-15 players overall. Since the Running Back position is always crucial in the early rounds of a fantasy draft, this leaves even more of a chance to grab a pair of WRs that will carry your team for the entire year, right into a championship.
There are even some big names in new places that could prove to be more valuable than anyone imagined or maybe even a bust. Brandin Cooks might be the biggest candidate for having a boom or bust season. After leaving New Orleans, where you knew what you were going to get each season, he is heading to the New England Patriots, where he could end up just another name in the Patriots system. Or maybe he connects with Tom Brady like Randy Moss did and the two form a ridiculous 1-2 punch that turns him into a top-3 player.
Let’s take a look of the 25 best Wide Receiver players heading into the 2017 NFL season. Enjoy.
