USWNT World Cup Ticker Tape Parade
Today in New York City, the United States Women’s Soccer Team was honored with a ticker-tape parade to celebrate their World Cup victory. This is a historic moment, as it’s the first time the city held a parade for a women’s team. Seeing the young girls cheering for their heroes up against the barricades is an inspirational moment that will impact women’s sports in this country for years to come. The push for the Mayor to host the parade came from our friends over at The Roosevelts, who led a social media campaign to make it happen. Below we’ve selected a few of our favorite photos from the event, as shared by Boston.com’s The Big Picture. See their entire gallery for a more complete view of this historical event.
