The Best Star Wars Quotes
Fifteen years ago, CBS aired the American Film Institute’s, AFI, 100 Years…100 Movie Quotes. The special featured a ton of the greatest movie quotes of all time including lines from the first movie ever made with spoken words, The Jazz Singer. The list also did not shy away from science fiction movies either and for the first time, Star Wars was finally given credit for one of the most famous movie lines of all time with “May the Force Be With You.” But that shouldn’t be the only thing we remember from Star Wars. There are literally thousands of great lines that come from the movie franchise that launched an entire generation of followers for nearly 45 years now.
As today is Star Wars Day, May 4th, we decided it would be fun to take a look at some of the best lines from the first six movies. We have reviewed all six films line by line in search of the best lines from each of the main characters as well as a few others like Admiral Ackbar, Senator Palpatine, and Darth Maul. This final quote is a long one but powerful. It is probably the only line spoken by Anakin Skywalker that is worth being considered one of the best in the Star Wars Saga.
