Introducing Captain Morgan Black

The good folks at Captain Morgan have recently introduced a darker, bolder spiced rum :

Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum is perfect for adult consumers who choose adventure over convenience. Created with the whiskey occasion in mind, this bold new liquid is best suited for a more interesting night, where the evening drifts into mysterious corners just to see what awaits.

So what kind of drinks can you mix with this new bolder spiced rum? How about these :

Captain Morgan Black Vanilla Cola

  • 1 oz. Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum
  • ½ oz. Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka
  • 1½ oz. sour mix
  • 4 oz. cola
  • 1 lemon wedge

Combine Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum, Smirnoff Vanilla and sour mix in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice and top with cola. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Captain Morgan Black And Muddy

  • 1 oz. Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum
  • ½ oz. raspberry liqueur
  • 4 oz. heavy cream
  • 1 packet of raw sugar
  • 1 raspberry
  • 1 lemon twist

Add sugar to heavy cream and stir until sugar is dissolved. Combine sweetened cream, Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum, and raspberry liqueur in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a raspberry and a lemon twist.
